The SCGA was founded July 27, 1899, joining five clubs in Southern California into an association. Today, the SCGA is one of the largest regional associations in the country, with more than 150,000 members in more than 1,200 course and affiliate member clubs.

The Arizona Golf Association (AGA), founded in 1923, is a not-for-profit 501(c)(4) association directed by amateur golfers. What started as a small group of golfers who got together to run the annual Amateur Championship has grown to an association of over 400 clubs and 55,000 members. Our mission is to foster the enhancement and expansion of the game of golf by leading in the development of member and information services, the promotion of opportunities for all who want to play, and the protection of the game's integrity and valued traditions.

Founded in 1899, the Connecticut State Golf Association (CSGA) is the country’s oldest state golf association consisting of 183 member clubs of which 79 are private and 104 are public facilities. The Indiana Golf Office is the administrative headquarters for the Indiana Golf Association (IGA), Indiana Section PGA, Indiana Women's Golf Association and the Indiana Golf Foundation. In October 2011, the Office welcomed The First Tee of Central Indiana. The IGA is the governing body of amateur golf and the IWGA is the governing body of women's amateur golf in Indiana as recognized by the USGA. Included in the responsibilities of the IGA and IWGA is administering amateur championships for Indiana golfers. The Indiana Golf Foundation promotes junior golf through the Indiana Junior Golf Program and Gongaware Junior Golf Academy, supports students seeking higher education by offering college scholarships, and honors the history and traditions of the game in the Indiana Golf Hall of Fame.

The West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA) was founded in 1913 and is a non-profit organization, whose purpose is to preserve, promote and advance the best interests, and the true spirit of the game of golf in the state of West Virginia.
