Hello and welcome to a special Road Warrior edition of The Curmudgeon, the golf podcast here at theaposition.com/halphillips. This week we’;re in the north of Ireland, writing and podcasting, even doing some video, on location. “We” are the Golf Road Warriors, all of us members of The A Position. This pod can be heard, and all of the Warriors’ reporting can be seen, by visiting golfroadwarriors.com. We’re here in Ireland for 10 days, and we’ll be posting stories, pictures, pods and video each day. So keep up… The Warriors are Tom Harack, Jeff Wallach, Peter Kessler and me, your podcast host, Hal Phillips. This edition of the Curmudgeon was taped live from the bar at Ballyliffin Golf Club, and we’re joined by John Farren, the general manager at Ballyliffin. His voice is the Irish one in the mix… We are fresh off our first 18 of the day, on the Glashedy Links at Ballyliffin, the newer of the two courses there. We played the Old Links the day before. We start our discussion comparing the different experiences served up by the two. We move on to Rory McIlroy, Guinness Light and Royal Portrush. Enjoy.
