Situated on the historic Retreat Plantation on St. Simons Island, the course opened in the summer of 1927 and quickly gained popularity.

There are not many true links courses in North American but the Colt and Alison Seaside course design is one of the rare few and rightly holds a place in American golf course history and recently moved up 111 place to 76th in the worlds top 250 courses.

My tips to win:

Webb Simpson 10/1 comes into this event in great form having only been outside the Top 25 once in his last seven tournaments played on the PGA Tour, which includes a Top 5 finish at the Tour Championship and a win at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open a couple of weeks ago.

Another player who comes into this week on a great run of form is Zach Johnson 12/1. Zach finished last season with four Top 5 finishes from eight events, which included his win at the BMW Championship.
