And it just so happened that the Callaway X2 Hot 10.5\u00b0 driver was handed to me to test a week before I headed over to the Dominican Republic to play some iconic courses.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/theaposition.com\/planetgolfreview\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/56\/2015\/01\/X2-Hot-Cutaway.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-3665\" src=\"http:\/\/theaposition.com\/planetgolfreview\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/56\/2015\/01\/X2-Hot-Cutaway.jpg\" alt=\"X2 Hot Cutaway\" width=\"300\" height=\"217\" \/><\/a>An eight-day trip to play six great courses, including Pete Dye\u2019s Teeth Of The Dog, Jack Nicklaus\u2019s Punta Espada and Tom Fazio\u2019s Corales, sounded like the perfect testing ground for the X2 Hot, especially after seeing it make the gold medal list in Golf Digest recently.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"style46\" style=\"color: #6f0\">Technology<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/theaposition.com\/planetgolfreview\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/56\/2015\/01\/X2-Hot-Toe.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-3666\" src=\"http:\/\/theaposition.com\/planetgolfreview\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/56\/2015\/01\/X2-Hot-Toe.jpg\" alt=\"X2 Hot Toe\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/theaposition.com\/planetgolfreview\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/56\/2015\/01\/X2-Hot-Toe.jpg 300w, https:\/\/theaposition.com\/planetgolfreview\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/56\/2015\/01\/X2-Hot-Toe-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/theaposition.com\/planetgolfreview\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/56\/2015\/01\/X2-Hot-Toe-100x100.jpg 100w, https:\/\/theaposition.com\/planetgolfreview\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/56\/2015\/01\/X2-Hot-Toe-125x125.jpg 125w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Just so you know, I had my driver on the standard loft settings (10.5\u00b0) in the draw bias position. You can easily adjust the settings, going down -1\u00b0 or going up +1 or 2\u00b0.<\/p>\n<p>You can also have the head set in the N = Natural position or D = Draw position. The adjustments are all very simple to understand, and adjusting the club involves just a couple of turns with the tool and locking back into the new position.<\/p>\n<p>Callaway have produced their fastest, thinnest titanium driver to date, with a new <a href=\"http:\/\/theaposition.com\/planetgolfreview\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/56\/2015\/01\/X2-Hot-crown.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-3670\" src=\"http:\/\/theaposition.com\/planetgolfreview\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/56\/2015\/01\/X2-Hot-crown.jpg\" alt=\"X2 Hot crown\" width=\"300\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/theaposition.com\/planetgolfreview\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/56\/2015\/01\/X2-Hot-crown.jpg 300w, https:\/\/theaposition.com\/planetgolfreview\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/56\/2015\/01\/X2-Hot-crown-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>head design and construction. All this gives you faster ball speeds off the face, with the added larger sweet spot helping to give you more forgiveness on off-centre strikes.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"style46\"><span style=\"color: #6f0\"><strong>Conclusion<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>For me, the best part was the \u201cNew Hyper Speed Face\u201d in conjunction with the Aldila Tour shaft \u2013 the ball flight it achieved was fantastic. On TV you often hear about hang-time, and I was certainly getting plenty of that on my drives, as well as distance. The Aldila stiff shaft was responsive and I knew exactly where the club was throughout the swing.<\/p>\n<p>I must admit I enjoyed everything about the X2 Hot. It gave me confidence at the address position and the acoustics at impact were perfect, giving you that reassurance of a solid strike. But what I loved was that high ball flight, and boy did I make the most of that when hitting it downwind.<\/p>\n<p>Not only is this a fun club to hit with, it also offers a lot of forgiveness and comes with easy-to-use adjustability.
