The Serapong Course at Sentosa Golf Club, one of the two courses used for the Singapore Open<\/p><\/div>\n

The tour now moves on to Singapore for the Co-Sanctioned\u00a0Barclays Singapore Open<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/strong> This is the third year the tournament has been co-sanctioned with the Asian Tour and held across two courses at the unique Sentosa GC,<\/span><\/a><\/strong> where the 204 competitors will play over both the Tanjong and Serapong tracks.<\/p>\n

Originally opened back in July 1974 and designed by Frank Pennick<\/span><\/a>,<\/span><\/strong> the Sentosa Golf Club has a rich history emerging from Singapore\u2019s independence. The small island was the governments dream to create a tourist destination. The original Tanjong course was carved out of the lush tropical landscape, where mangrove swamps and kampongs were developed into rolling greens.<\/p>\n

Over the years golf grew in prominence and with it the Sentosa Golf Club. Ronald Fream<\/span><\/a><\/strong> was commissioned to design a second course, which is now known as the Serapong course.<\/p>\n

My tips to win:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Graeme McDowell 16\/1<\/span><\/a><\/strong> finished well last week in Shanghai and his closing round 67, was good enough to take third place outright and should take that confident finish into the Singapore Open<\/p>\n

Unlike Simon Dyson 25\/1<\/span><\/a><\/strong> who didn\u2019t finish well with final rounds of 70,71, but this was Simon\u2019s first tournament after a two-week break and a Top 20 finish in Shanghai bodes well.<\/p>\n

Jeff Overton 33\/1<\/span><\/a><\/strong> closed with a pair of 69s in his last tournament in Malaysia, after a third round 62 to finish in 2nd<\/sup> place so should come into this full of confidence and refreshed after a weeks rest.<\/p>\n

My each-way tips:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Another player who has had a weeks break is Scotland\u2019s Richie Ramsay 40\/1<\/span><\/a><\/strong> who had back-to-back third place finishes in his last two tournaments, which included a 64 and a couple of 65s.<\/p>\n

Shane Lowry 66\/1<\/span><\/a> <\/strong>finished well in the Andaluc\u00eda Masters over a tough Valderrama, shooting a final round 67 to take outright 4th<\/sup> place.<\/p>\n

Pablo Larrazabal 80\/1<\/span><\/a><\/strong> has had a rollercoaster year, a win and five other Top 10 finishes are counter balanced by eight missed cuts, but at these odds its worth putting a couple of pounds on the lad from Barcelona.<\/p>\n
