No matter your location, state in life, nationality, sex, age, wealth, or whatever circumstances you can conjure up; every waking moment of every day you enjoy a choice. \u00a0 That choice is how you perceive what life delivers you.\u00a0 You can choose love or fear or one of their cousins, and it\u2019s not any more complicated than that.\u00a0 Speaking of those cousins, you can look at life as a competition for scarce resources or a cooperation or creative mindset of abundance.\u00a0 So, what are these?<\/p>\n
The scarcity mentality<\/strong> advocates holding onto whatever it is you have, for fear that someone else may take it.\u00a0 It assumes that there is not enough of anything and you\u2019d be wise to hoard whatever you can.\u00a0 That means holding your money, your ideas, your time, your clients, etc. as tightly as you can. In business, it means that when you find a client you do everything within your power to hold onto that client for fear that the \u201ccompetition\u201d might take them away.\u00a0 In fact people who operate under the scarcity mentality often base many of their decisions on what their competition and others do.\u00a0 That is operating out of the fear that someone will get more than you will or will succeed before you do.<\/p>\n The principal of abundance<\/strong> promotes the belief that not only is there enough to go around, and that the universe has room for us all to benefit equally, but also commands us to give away what we have.\u00a0 This means giving referrals, ideas, assistance and any other thing you can imagine to help others.\u00a0 It means that we build people, relationships, and help others because we know and believe that somehow, some day it will all come back to us.\u00a0 It also promotes win-win situations.<\/p>\n I have learned that the only shortages we face are in our own minds.\u00a0 And that the more we give of our approval, our time, our smiles, our energy, our wisdom and our ideas the more accepted, less stressed, happy, energetic, wise and creative we become.\u00a0 Building people and relationships can serve both the \u201cgiver\u201d and the \u201cgetter.\u201d\u00a0 There is enough for everyone!<\/p>\n Changing our mindset about the principle of abundance is not always easy.\u00a0 It takes practice, but certain can do it provided that you believe you can.\u00a0 I love the vision that was created through a book, “The One Minute Millionaire.\u201d It says, \u201cThere is an ocean of abundance and one can tap into it with a teaspoon, a bucket or a tractor trailer. The ocean doesn’t care.\u201d\u00a0 What can you do to practice the principles of abundance this week?\u00a0 Remember, there is enough for everyone!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
