{"id":1464,"date":"2010-11-19T01:45:21","date_gmt":"2010-11-19T08:45:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/robertfagan.com\/?p=1464"},"modified":"2011-04-08T00:07:07","modified_gmt":"2011-04-08T07:07:07","slug":"what-s-in-your-lunch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theaposition.com\/robertfagan\/commentary\/1464\/what-s-in-your-lunch","title":{"rendered":"What&#8217;s in your lunch?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/theaposition.com\/robertfagan\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/33\/2011\/04\/lunchpail.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-3215\" title=\"lunchpail\" src=\"http:\/\/theaposition.com\/robertfagan\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/33\/2011\/04\/lunchpail.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"224\" srcset=\"https:\/\/theaposition.com\/robertfagan\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/33\/2011\/04\/lunchpail.jpg 225w, https:\/\/theaposition.com\/robertfagan\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/33\/2011\/04\/lunchpail-125x125.jpg 125w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a>Three guys are working on some scaffolding way up at the top of a skyscraper.\u00a0 They take a lunch break.\u00a0 The first guy opens his lunchbox and goes, \u201cAw, man, meatloaf again.\u201d\u00a0 Second guy opens his lunchbox and goes, \u201cAw, man, baloney again.\u201d\u00a0 Third guy opens his lunchbox and goes, \u201cAw, man, tuna salad again.\u201d\u00a0 They eat their lunches.<\/p>\n<p>The next day, it\u2019s lunch time again, and the first guy opens his lunchbox, and goes, \u201cAw man, meatloaf again.\u00a0 You know, if I get meatloaf tomorrow, too, I\u2019m going to jump off this skyscraper!\u201d\u00a0 Second guys opens his lunchbox and goes, \u201cAw man, baloney again.\u00a0 You know, if I get baloney tomorrow, I\u2019m going to jump off this skyscraper!\u201d\u00a0 Third guy opens his lunchbox and goes, \u201cAw man, tuna salad again.\u00a0 You know, if I get tuna salad tomorrow, I\u2019m going to jump off this skyscraper!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Next day.\u00a0 Lunchtime again.\u00a0 First guy opens his lunchbox, cries, \u201cMeatloaf!\u201d\u00a0 and leaps to his death.\u00a0 Second guy opens his lunchbox, howls, \u201cBaloney!\u201d and leaps to his death.\u00a0 Third guy opens his lunchbox, screams, \u201cTuna salad!\u201d and leaps to his death.<\/p>\n<p>Next day, at the funeral.\u00a0 The widow of the first guy wails, \u201cOh, why oh why did I give him meatloaf in his lunch?\u201d\u00a0 The widow of the second guy moans, \u201cWhy oh why did I give him baloney?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And the widow of the third guy says, \u201cDon\u2019t look at me!\u00a0 He packs his own lunch.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>So again, I ask, &#8220;What&#8217;s in your lunch?&#8217;\u00a0 These guys could have spiced up their lives if they only shared their three different sandwiches and exchanged them with each other.\u00a0 Then again, they just might have chosen different ingredients.\u00a0 We can too, so before you ever complain again, check to see how you packed YOUR lunch.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Three guys are working on some scaffolding way up at the top of a skyscraper.\u00a0 They take a lunch break.\u00a0&#8230;
