We can be “efficient” with time and tasks, a popular topic these days. That, however, doesn’t apply to relationships – we need to focus on being \u201ceffective\u201d with people.<\/p>\n
Stephen Covey wrote: \u201cWhile you can think in terms of efficiency in dealing with time, a principle-centered person thinks in terms of effectiveness in dealing with people.\u201d<\/p>\n
Brian Johnson writes: \u00a0“As you may have noticed, if we try to be efficient with people (especially our kids\u2014who, you might remember, spell love \u201cT.I.M.E.\u201d) we can often find ourselves quite efficient AND equally INEFFECTIVE.”<\/p>\n
Yes, relationships can be messy. Don’t they deserve fully-present time? Why not show our Loved Ones just how much we love them by giving them more time\u2014of the FULLY PRESENT variety?<\/p>\n
Let\u2019s remember that our greatest obstacle to giving that FULLY PRESENT time and creating effectiveness in our relationships is almost always technology.<\/p>\n
