These ingredients bond loosely to any  negatively                         charged fabric surface, such as a piece of  clothing with static cling, neutralizing the charge and acting as a  lubricant.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Here are just eight smart tips for using dryer sheets can help to make your travels smoother:<\/p>\n<p>1. <strong>In transit.<\/strong> Tuck dryer sheets between items in your suitcase to<br \/>\nkeep them smelling fresh.<\/p>\n<p>2. <strong>For storage. <\/strong>Between trips, keep dryer sheets in your luggage bags<br \/>\nto avoid the musty smells of basements, attics, and garages.<\/p>\n<p>3. <strong>Reduce your own static cling. <\/strong>Pat yourself with a dryer sheet to beat static<br \/>\non your clothes &#8212; it works in hair, too.<\/p>\n<p>4. <strong>Freshen your shoes.<\/strong> After a long day on your feet, pop a dryer sheet in each<br \/>\nshoe to freshen them overnight.<\/p>\n<p>5. <strong>Air freshener.<\/strong> Stick a dryer sheet to the air vent in your hotel<br \/>\nroom to quickly combat any unwelcome smells.<\/p>\n<p>6. <strong>Insect repellent.<\/strong> Rubbing a sheet on your skin can help to keep the<br \/>\nbugs at bay. (You could also drop a sheet into a picnic basket or<br \/>\nunder your sun lounger.)<\/p>\n<p>7. <strong>Screen wipe.<\/strong> Easily erase the dust off of your laptop computer screen.
