The Monument Course at Troon North yielded the perfect end of round response. Fun! Icy fast bent grass greens and hard fairways and fair bunkering. The boulder formations were spectacular and the fairways were ideal for clean shots from tight lies. The greens are a throwback to the good old days. No crazy swales or mountains. Just lots of subtle breaks to manage over gentle slopes.
And Director of Golf Mike Friend bombs it and treated us, as did the entire staff, to the point of amazingly ridiculous pampering. Sensational day.
