Golf Media Network and The A Position consists of eight founding member/writers who among them have written more than 30 books and thousands of articles for such publications as The New York Times, USA Today, Sports Illustrated, Golf Digest, GOLF Magazine, Money, Outside, Men’s Journal, Men’s Health, Cigar Aficionado, and many, many others. They have visited, reviewed, and written about thousands of the world’s best golf courses in more than 50 countries on six continents, and served on course award panels for numerous major national magazines. The founding members have also won many awards and accolades themselves, and served as editors at several of the best golf publications, including Golf Magazine, Travel and Leisure Golf, Links Magazine, and others. Every one of the founding members makes a memorable scramble partner.

In addition to the founding members, The A Position includes a growing number of well-credentialed associate members who have worked for many of the best newspapers and magazines in the US and across the globe. They provide additional golf content, help cover the golf map more fully, and contribute expertise and entertaining copy on a wide variety of other subject areas ranging from college football to the culinary arts.

Jeff Wallach, Manager/Executive Editor. Wallach, who has freelanced for 20 years, is the author of five books and more than 600 articles for a wide variety of national magazines and Internet sites including Sports Illustrated, GOLF Magazine, Golf Digest, Travel + Leisure Golf, Outside, Men’s Journal, Men’s Health, Money, MSNBC.com and ForbesTraveler.com. Wallach’s corporate writing and public relations clients include Microsoft, The Walt Disney Company, Intel, Subaru of America, Robert Trent Jones II Golf Course Architects, The US Department of Energy, Marriott International, Ford Motor Company, and many others. Wallach is also the co-founder of The Critical Faculty, a media/marketing and consulting firm specializing in the golf, resort, and travel industries. He holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Vassar College and a master’s in writing from Brown University.

Jeff’s primary responsibilities will include the recruitment and management of writers and the management and oversight of editorial content on the hub site. He will also be responsible for overseeing business administration, including accounting and taxes, and will serve as the company’s main point of contact with individual member writers. Jeff will also work on general business issues related to partnership development, advertising strategy, content distribution, the creation of additional revenue streams, and more.

Robert M. Senoff, Manager/Business Manager. Senoff has been an active investor in Internet companies since 1996. Prior to co-founding venture capital firm New Millennium Partners, Senoff managed a private family office. His previous employers include Advantage Capital, Miller Anderson, Sherrerd, and the IBM Corporation. Senoff has been an equity investor in and has actively participated in the start-up and/or growth of such companies as Cafepress, Four11 (acquired by Yahoo), Icanhascheezburger – Pet Holdings, Inc., Liquidplanner.com, Sandlot Games, Shopittome.com, Spinner (acquired by AOL), and Wildtangent. He earned his B.S.Ch.E and B.S.E degrees from Purdue Engineering, an MBA from Wharton, and holds CPA and CFA designations.

Bob will be responsible for general business operations oversight and strategy, including traffic generation, advertising sales and monetization strategy, content distribution partnerships, and other business partnership opportunities.

Mike Hardy, Manager/Lead Site Architect.Hardy has been designing and building Internet applications for more than ten years. He started his online career as an Internet engineer for Parsons Technology. As a Senior Developer, Hardy helped create a mass email marketing system for the company’s customers and supported development of Parsons’ e-commerce system. Following years of senior level experience with The Learning Company and Mattel Interactive, Hardy co-founded iPilot.com and served as VP of Development. After successfully launching iPilot, he became an independent consultant, working with various companies in the Bay Area, including Market Metrix, Phoenix American, and Emportal. As the Lead Architect for The A Position.com, Hardy brings years of experience with architectures of large, enterprise-level organizations as well as with small, efficient start-up companies.

Mike will be responsible for architecting all sites, including a product roadmap for the advertising engine; content management software; ad placement and payment systems; content package delivery; RSS and Twitter feeds; and more. Mike will also be responsible for on-going system maintenance and management, and for training member writers to use the sites.
