In 1913 Truant Officers Hauled Caddies Off the Course

Seems that most of the caddies in the first flight of the 1913 Pacific Northwest Golf Association annual tournament should have been in school rather than on the course. The story comes from the May 22 issue of the San Francisco Call.

The Macan referred to near the end of the article is noted player, course architect and golf writer A.V. Macan whose many designs include the original nine at Cowichan Golf and Country Club.
