WYNTK:
Both new iron models from Tour Edge have what the company calls Dual Vibrcor Technology using thermoplastic polyurethane or TPU inside the head to dampen sound and improve feel. In the Exotics E721 the TPU fills the undercut cavity and, in the Exotics C721, it occupies two places in the hollow clubhead.

We are more intrigued by the Diamond Face 2.0 construction. This is certainly a unique way to achieve the benefits of variable thickness in any club and for the first time Tour Edge is using it in irons. The 2.0 version is similar to the design first seen last year in their Exotics EXS 220 metalwoods and the principle is the same. The 103 diamond shapes on the interior face of the Exotics E721 and 92 shapes of the Exotics C721 act as minitrampolines according to the company to produce faster ball speeds and make the sweet spot larger.

The Exotics E721 improves its forgiveness for higher handicap players with additional weighting in the toe and the better-player Exotics C721 has a thin L-cup face made from military grade maraging steel.

“This is next-level Exotics,” said Tour Edge founder and President David Glod. “It’s a brand-new direction for Exotics, not only with ground-breaking new tech, but with virtually every aspect of the design.”
