WYNTK:
For several years Callaway Golf has manufactured the most-played hybrids and the new Apex 21s combine the best of what was learned with cutting edge software. Making use of their supercomputer and artificial intelligence machine learning they designed the new Flash Face SS221 and internal rods connecting the crown and sole. The company says the combination of the face and these Jailbreak rods produce more ball speed with the rods stiffening the head and directing more energy to the ball.
Weighting is concentrated in the sole and the center back providing both forgiveness on imperfect impacts and a tendency for high launch. The regular Apex 21 hybrid also offers increased versatility of ball flight control with its adjustable hosel.
The Apex 21 Pro has a much smaller head than the regular model having the compact look at address favored by better players in hybrids. Callaway says both shaping and placement of the center of gravity are similar to the previous Apex 16 model. The Pro shares the A.I. Flash Face and Jailbreak Rods features with the regular Apex 21s but have a forged 455 steel face. According to the company, Tour pros and better amateurs will appreciate the iron-like control and workability of the Pro with the clean lines and fixed hosel.
