WYNTK:
The LTDx iron’s PWR-COR Weighting system combined with the PWRSHELL Face Cobra says added together “are the superior choice for the perfect blend of forgiveness, high launch, excellent feel and longest total distance.” PWR-COR is a steel weight bar inside but separate from the head and wrapped in a polymer coating to suspend it in place. This so-called “floating” interior weight is behind the face positioned low in the head to give the face a greater amount of flexing at impact for more distance while the polymer acts as a vibration dampener and to a degree improves face rebound.
The PWRSHELL face is the L-cup shape that wraps around to the sole similar to others used in the past by Cobra. This latest version used in the LTDx has an improved variable thickness design offering 23% larger sweet spot and Cobra says overall these new irons have 5% more face deflection than last year’s Radspeed model. We also like the addition of a toe weighting screw which the custom-build department at Cobra can vary to fit an individual golfer’s need.
LTDx irons are offered in traditional variable length sets for men or women and in ONE Length for men.
