WYNTK:
Mizuno’s 2022 drivers have a super alloy beta titanium forged face with 17% more tensile strength and 8% higher flexibility that other titanium alloys often used for driver faces. The company says this means the face is both faster and more durable.
Targeted for use by slow to moderate swing speed players the ST-X 220 favors a draw flight shape and the 20-gram back weight is positioned slightly towards the heel to counteract the typical left to right trajectory of recreational players.
Both models have a 40% larger area of carbon fiber in the sole and complimented by the weighting that in the Z is evenly split between the heel and toe for low spin straight shots and in the X nearer the heel for higher trajectory.
