Tour Edge Golf was founded forty years ago with the mission to produce high-quality, well-designed golf clubs at prices lower than those of competitors. The company quickly found success and, in 2005, launched a premium line called Exotics, which was immediately embraced by golfers.

Founder and CEO David Glod is a true innovator who consistently pushes the boundaries of club manufacturing. So, it is not surprising his company has now entered the golf ball market, offering products with a compelling price-to-performance ratio that will appeal to a broad range of players.

“This is a monumental step for Tour Edge,” said Glod. “After four decades of relentless innovation in golf clubs and bags, we’re applying the same commitment to performance and quality to golf balls. The Exotics ball reflects everything our brand stands for, including tour-level engineering, meticulous testing, and premium materials to meet golfers’ demands.”

For those interested in the apparent strategy behind the Exotics ball introduction all you need to do is look at the price of $39.99 per dozen. This is the same as the Titleist Tour Soft and Callaway ERC Soft both of which use an ionomer cover, whereas the Exotics ball uses a cover of urethane. Urethane is preferred by many players for its softer feel and is considered superior to that of ionomer plus urethane offers better spin control on iron shots, particularly around the green. The downside however it does cost more to manufacture.

Competing three-piece urethane-cover models include the Titleist Pro V1 and Callaway Chrome Soft, both retailing at $55. This pricing strategy by Tour Edge mirrors their approach in the club market: offering high-performance products at a significantly lower price point.
