SUPER S from Adams

Adams Golf has a new club family, the SUPER S, from driver to irons. Scheduled to be in shops in late January this new line is aimed at the game improvement club category and can boast that SUPER S metalwoods will have a white crown sharing that distinctive look with parent company TaylorMade Golf’s best selling metalwoods.

Regarding the introduction of an entire product family all at one time, Tim Reed, Adams’ vice president of R&D said, “We felt it was important to give the whole line a common name since they all share many of Adams Speedline Super S Driverthe same technologies. The SUPER S family of clubs at its core, is designed with the idea of making golf more enjoyable.”

The Speedline SUPER S Driver with a slot behind the clubface (Adams well known VST-Velocity Slot Technology) is a company first and also offers loft adjustability from 9.5 degrees to 11.5 degrees. “The Speedline SUPER S driver is the first Adams Golf driver to feature VST,” said Scott Burnett, Director of Advanced Product Development. “The slot in the sole of the club is deeper in the heel and toe to increase the size of the sweet spot making it incredibly easy to hit straighter and with more distance.”

Turning to the IDEA SUPER S Hybrids Reed said, “The SUPER S Hybrid is the culmination of years of development with the best players in the world. With the further developments in VST, we have created a hybrid that is extremely hot and incredibly easy to hit.”Idea_SuperS hybrid 3 sole

Speedline SUPER S fairways have a stainless steel construction and a Cut-Thru sole slot making the SUPER S Fairway Wood extremely hot with a CT (Characteristic Time) of 230. “Through our continued research on the benefits of Velocity Slot Technology we have been able to provide even more benefits for golfers,” said Reed. “The Cut-Thru slot in the sole of the SUPER S fairway provides the horsepower for the golfer to hit it extremely long distances.”

The Idea SUPER S irons blend hybrids and irons without sacrificing look or feel while giving better impact stability from less clubhead rotation. They also have a thin face to increase ball speed. “In the SUPER S Irons, we incorporated what we have learned in our hybrid development,” said Justin Girard, Senior Design Engineer. “The irons feature a half hollow construction to make it perform like a hybrid, while still having the look and feel of an iron, giving golfers the best of both worlds.”
