Talk about putting your best foot forward. adidas Golf, part of the TaylorMade-adidas Golf portfolio, said it has achieved record-breaking footwear sales for the first part of 2013, with February marking the highest sales period for the global golf brand since it was formed in 1999. The company said that despite early 2013 delays in golf course openings due to longer winter conditions around the world, the U.S., United Kingdom and Japan each reported “significant gains” in dollar and market share numbers.

Sparked by the January launch of its adizero golf shoe line, adidas Golf said February sales in the U.S. landed its footwear
family firmly in the No. 2 position in terms of on/off course dollars sales.  In the UK, the company said it secured a 25.6
percent footwear market share with the new adizero tour leading the field at nearly 13 percent in on/off course dollars.  In Japan, adidas Golf said it leads with a 30 percent market share on on/off course dollars, with adizero tour ranking third
among all footwear models.
