Ashworth Golf's Cardiff shoe line
Ashworth Golf is best known for its apparel, a brand in the TaylorMade-adidas Golf family, does it proud in footwear, too. Ashworth is releasing of three new color options for its successful Cardiff line of spikeless shoes. The expanded line of footwear will debut in February in an Iron colorway, followed by the introduction of Brown (March) and White (July).
Spikeless is becoming more popular with consumers and even with Tour players during practice rounds. TMaG says the Cardiff’s spikeless platform provides “more than adequate” stability and traction – dry and wet environments – with strategically placed traction lugs of varying sizes designed to deliver optimal grip in all conditions even for the most competitive golfers.
Sean O’Hair played the Cardiff at the 2012 Tournament of Champions after testing it over the holiday break.
“The Cardiff sold more than double the original forecast and each of the past six months we’ve exceeded monthly sales and margin goals,” said Bill Price, vice president of global footwear for TMaG. “We’re very excited to roll-out the new colors for 2012 and keep the momentum going.”
