Adams Golf has been a major player in the equipment market, especially on the hybrid club side, for the past decade. What it was lacking was a good putter brand. Adams Golf got it this past January when it acquired Yes! Golf, best known for its C-Groove technology.
Adams Golf has re-launched the Yes! Golf brand with eight models, including thee models – Ann, Christina and Laura – new to the U.S. market. It’s good to see Adams Golf keep its familiar ladies’ names on the putters, as well as keep the Yes! brand instead of re-branding it under the Adams name. Yes! gives Adams Golf product with good brand equity and some solid international distribution
It’s also a good move that Adams Goff President Chip Brewer retained the services of Blair Philip – the man behind C-Groove technology – as director of product development for putters. Acquisitions don’t always work, especially in the golf industry, and Yes! is still a work in process under the Adams umbrella, but here’s betting that it’s going to be a winner for Brewer and company.
