It’s not exactly a new idea, but Callaway Golf is putting its spin (pardon the pun) on specific golf balls for specific swing speeds. The Callaway difference is that it calls the new Speed Regime balls “Tour level,’ implying that they’re good for better players and their suggested retail price of $47.99 per dozen.
The Speed Regime balls, available Jan. 24, will be offered in three models:
SR 1: optimized for swing speeds 90mph and below
SR 2: optimized for swing speeds between 90 and 105mph
SR 3: optimized for swing speeds of 105mph and above
Each Speed Regime ball, according to Callaway, has a HEX Aerodynamics profile and overall construction that maximizes its performance based on what each swing speed range needs to achieve the most distance and the best performance.
