TaylorMade-adidas Golf isn’t just staying with clubs in its new RocketBallz franchise. The company has a golf ball of the same name – more evidence that no company is better at creating a new franchise than TMaG.
The three-piece RocketBallz ball basically is a distance ball that goes along the same theme at the RBZ metal woods and hybrids. The company says the RBZ ball’s speed and distance gains come from a REACT core technology and new SPEEDMANTLE for increased velocity and added iron spin for all swing speeds. The latter is a common thread among most ball companies today.
TMaG says feel with improved spin and control around the greens comes from the ball’s thin and soft IOTHANE cover. Coupled with the softer SPEEDMANTLE material, TMaG says the RBZ ball (street price $26.99 per dozen) provides increased short game spin with mid and short irons.
