Nike Golf has announced the signings of two players – neither named Rory McIlroy. Nick Watney and Kyle Stanley have each joined the Swoosh fold. McIlroy, the world’s No. 1 ranked player, is expected to officially join Nike Golf any day.
Watney will represent Nike Golf in clubs, ball, footwear, glove, apparel, headwear and accessories. Most notably, Watney will play Nike Golf’s new Nike VR_S Covert driver as well as Nike’s VR_S Covert fairway woods. Rounding out his bag will be the Nike VR Pro Combo irons, Nike VR Pro wedges and a Nike Method Prototype putter. He also will play with Nike’s new generation 20XI ball.
A five-time winner on the PGA Tour, Watney will wear Nike Golf apparel from its Tour Performance Collection and the new Nike Lunar Control II footwear.
Stanley will make his Nike Golf debut at this week’s Hyundai Tournament of Champions with the VR_S Covert driver, VR Pro Blades and VR Pro wedges. He also will play with Nike’s new generation 20XI-X ball and wearing Nike Golf apparel from its Tour Performance Collection and the new Nike Lunar Control II footwear.
