Rory McIlroy finished his association with the Titleist brand in style with a victory at the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai. McIlroy, who is expected to switch to Nike Golf next season, played new Titleist Pro V1x prototype golf ball for his won over runner-up Luke Donald, who also played the ball.
Louis Oosthuizen put the Titleist Pro V1x prototype golf ball in play for the first time and finished fifth.

At the DP World Tour Championship, Titleist was the most played golf ball with 30 players in the field of 56, more than three times the nearest competitor with nine.
