The format is an interesting one with the first 54 holes being a normal stroke play event with a cut after 36-holes. There will then be a further cut after 54 holes with the Top 24 players – those who tie for twenty-forth will go into a play off to make up the final twenty-four – going through to the match-play section.
The final twenty-four players will then play a six-hole match play until there is only one player left who will be declared the winner. It sounds interesting and the match-play element should bring a lot of drama to the final day.
