The European Tour now moves to Sweden for the Volvo Car Mixed tournament, the brainchild of Henrik Stenson and Annika Sörenstam where the Ladies European Tour joins the Mens European Tour, which was successful last year.
This years event will be help at the North course at Halmstad. The club was formed in 1930 and hosted its first Swedish Matchplay Championship in 1939. In 1967, nine new holes were designed, which together with the back nine of the old course formed the North Course. In 1975 another nine holes were designed and with the original front nine now form the South Course.
