We started the first Major Championship of the year wondering what the interaction would be like at the Masters Champions dinner between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf players. As we arrive at Royal Liverpool for The Open and the final Major Championship of the year with LIV Golf player Brooks Keopka the reigning PGA Champion and what seems like an agreement to work together between the PIF fund and the PGA Tour.
The partnership would see the Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan being given the final decision if LIV Golf continues and if not, then having to decide if the players who defected to LIV Golf will be integrated back onto the PGA/DP World Tours and having to pay fines or pay fines and work their way back through the different feeder tours. It certainly all makes for an interesting 151st Open Championship.
