The FedEx Cup Play-offs now move to Illinois and the Olympia Fields CC with the field being cut down to the Top 50 players trying to make the final Top 30 cut for the Tour Championship Final.
Olympia Fields Country Club is a private golf club located in a suburb of Chicago and has two courses the North and South, with the North Course – which was originally known as No 4 course as there were four courses here – being considered one of the top three courses in the Chicago area, and is ranked in the top 50 courses in the United States.
The club was founded in 1915 the BMW Championship will be playing over the North Course which was designed by two-time Open champion Willie Park, Jnr, and was lengthened prior to hosting the U.S. Open in 2003. The course features some significant elevation changes and incorporates a meandering creek and hundreds of native oak trees.
