Ping K15 face and sole
When I first picked up the Ping K15 I had to admit its not the best looking driver on the block, but then again I’m more interested in hitting fairways than how good a club looks sitting in my bag.
The first time I realised I could be onto a winner with Ping’s K15 was standing on the 10th tee at Shirley Park Golf Club in Surrey, England with Golf Monthly’s Deputy Editor Neil Tappin. Now if you know Neil he hits a mean ball, not always on the fairway mind, but when he connects it goes a long long way regularly well over the 300-yard mark.
So when I hit a beautiful little fade just 10 yards behind Neil’s ball I was surprised, believe me I hit mine well, so I turned to Neil and said did you hit that ball well, “I nailed it “came his reply. I knew then this was the club to take on tour this year.

Technology: Ping’s Straight Flight Technology incorporates an ‘ultra-thin’ crown for the K15, with 10% of clubhead mass being concentrated in an external weight pad towards the heel of the clubhead. This helps square the clubface at impact.
Conclusion: Although this driver is designed with slower swing speeds in mind, using Ping’s custom fitting process and the range of shafts that are on offer, the distance and accuracy the K15 offers will appeal to all standard of golfers.
