I have to admit I love the team format for the Zurich Classic, the first and third rounds will be played as best ball (fourballs) and the second and final rounds will play under alternate shot (foursomes) rules. A 36-hole cut will be made down to the top 35 teams and ties. I have to admit I would change the foursomes to greensomes – where both players tee off and pick the best ball and play alternate shots from there.

The Zurich Classic of New Orleans is held at one of Pete Dye’s creations, with a little input from Steven Elkington and Kelly Gibson. Dye has been quoted as saying, PGA Tour Commissioner Tim Finchem “finds a flat site and then he calls me”.
