Avid golfers looking to improve like the idea of having a launch monitor for training and with a simulator included it becomes both a tool for shooting lower scores and a family entertainment center.
A couple of Mevo Gen2 features jump right out. First is the sophisticated ball tracking they call Fusion Technology, a combination of 3D Doppler radar and a digital camera to ensure ball launch, flight and spin including carrying distance, ball and club speed, spin axis and smash factor.
The FS Golf App is included as well to analyze each swing’s data.
Secondly FlightScope, once the unit is purchased, does not charge a subscription fee for simulation access, making a very cost-effective package.
And finally, we especially like the lower price, over $1000 less than the previous Mevo+.
The statement by FlightScope’s founder and CEO Henri Johnson accompanying the announcement of the Mevo Gen2 is illustrative of their approach. “With Mevo Gen2, we set out to deliver the most powerful personal launch monitor and simulator experience at a price point unmatched in the industry.” Johnson further said, “It’s extremely accurate, packed with features and ready to go right out of the box – with no subscription fees or hidden costs. We believe this product sets a new standard for value and performance in personal golf technology.”
