Play Smart, Not Hard

The TravisMathew brand (no relation to your reporter) owned by Callaway Golf (NYSE: ELY), is branching out into performance footwear and gloves with a catchy campaign label of, “Play Smart, Not Hard.”

Here is a brief rundown of the six shoe models and one glove style that premier this week.

The Ringer is a waterproof spiked shoe with a fully gusseted upper and a performance foam midsole combined with a molded sock liner giving lots of cushioned support. Breathability is provided with a space mesh liner in the upper. At retail for $199.95 per pair

The MoneyMaker ($159.95) shoe is waterproof with a lightweight midsole and TPU spikeless bottom. Comfort is provided with a molded dual density sock liner and an engineered knit in the upper gives lots of ventilation.

The Legend Tour Golf Shoe ($249.99) has Cuater’s Sweet Spot Technology foam midsole making it very comfortable. Waterproof, molded sock liner and full grain leather.

The Wildcard is lightweight and spikeless plus features a comfort midsole it is water resistant at a golfer-friendly $129.99

The Daily comes in two version and both are casual go-with-everything shoes. The Daily Knit is made with a lightweight knit upper and the Daily Wool has a wool upper that is moisture wicking. Either version is $119.99.

The Phenom ($149.99) features an engineered knit upper with leather accents making it a great all-occasion shoe.

Cuater Golf Gloves are made of cabretta leather with finger perforation for breathability and offer the choice of seven prints, patterns and colors with pricing between $29.99 and $39.99.
