Ping has launched the much-anticipated successor to the G425 drivers with three G430 series models featuring distance gains in all categories.

The success of Ping’s previous driver model, the G425, for the past two years set the stage for the design of the new G430. Though prices are up $50, this simply is following the driver market trendline.
For the SFT (Straight Flight Technology) and Max models there is a custom version called the HL with a lighter back weight, lightweight Alta Quick shaft, and Lamkin UYx Lite grip. This reduces the overall club weight so players with slower swing speeds will gain distance. Ping says testing showed a gain of nine yards.
The LST (Low Spin Technology) model has a carbon fiber wrap that replaces metal on the rear of the crown and in the heel and toe areas of the skirt. Engineers relocated the weight saved to raise the MOI, lower spin while increasing ball speed which especially benefit high swing speed better players.
