Srixon is stressing the new ZXi drivers have what they have called i-FLEX technology that more efficiently transfers energy from the clubhead to the ball than previous generations and of course more energy transfer means more ball speed. The i-FLEX design meant the center of the face could be thinner and more flexible.

According to Jeff Brunski, Vice President of Research and Development at Srixon, “With i-FLEX technology inserted into the ZXi Woods, we were able to unlock an extra level of performance we’ve never had before. The flexibility of these clubs enables a more efficient transfer of energy, which in turn, generates more power at impact.  With every swing, golfers will be able to feel the added strength and responsiveness of these new Woods and see their shots go farther.”

The ZXi crown is what they call a Star Frame which saves weight compared with the usual titanium structure, weight that could be relocated to improve the driver’s performance.

One final note, the equivalent preceding ZX Mk II models from two years ago were $500 or $50 less than the ZXi.
