Owned by Golf Brands Inc. the iconic Ben Hogan brand is making a comeback. The Las Vegas-based company also owns and markets Macgregor (clubs), Ram (packaged sets), Teardrop (putters) and Zebra (putters.
MBs and CBs are forged from carbon steel with a piece of ceramic matrix composite (CMC) forged inside at the same time. Since CMC is lighter than steel it allows exact placement of the center of gravity depending on the loft and head configuration which helps with performance, forgiveness and launch characteristics.
Lofts and lies are the same in the CB and MB meaning mixed sets with cavity back CBs for the long irons and MBs in the scoring clubs without the problem of loft and distance gaps.
We have always liked Hogan’s V-Sole which has a high bounce leading edge and lower bounce trailing edge for help in getting the head through even long grass.
Finally, these wouldn’t fulfill the Hogan legacy if they weren’t good looking at address and they are.
