Rife Putters gets a new owner

Innovex Golf has finalized an agreement to acquire Rife Putters. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Probably best known for its Island Series of putters, Rife at one time was the No. 1 brand played on the Champions Tour but have fallen under the radar the past few years because of distribution and manufacturing challenges due to lack of funding.

“Innovex Golf and Rife Putters share the vision of providing Tour quality performance and playability to its customers at an exceptional value,” said Robby Hipp, Director of Development for Innovex and Rife. “Rife’s reputation in the golf industry is second to none.”

The Innovex Golf and Rife Putter brands will continue to be marketed independently but cross-promotional opportunities will be offered at both the wholesale and retail levels. Innovex said it plans to operate bicoastal offices located in Medina, WA and Sanford, FL. The Rife Putter Fitting Studio will remain open at the Sanford location.

Former Rife Putters Chairman Jim Barfield, will be stay on with the company as the head of tour operations.
