SkyGolf, maker of the SkyCaddie golf rangefinder, has introduced the SkyCaddie SW2 Watch – the next generation of the bestselling SkyCaddie Watch. The SkyCaddie SW2 Watch features slim design, 35,000 preloaded courses, and Bluetooth Smart technology for easy data syncing. The watch, which comes a price tag of $179.99, will be on display at this week’s PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando (www.skygolf.com).
“The SkyCaddie SW2 Watch is one of the most simple, yet powerful GPS watches available today,” said Jacqui Surman, SkyGolf SVP of International Sales & Marketing. “With a slim, lightweight profile, improved functionality and extended battery life, this watch is ideal for golfers looking for quick, accurate distances to the front, center and back of the green. The addition of Bluetooth technology allows golfers the ability to sync scores and track progress over time to track improvements and focus on areas that need some work.”
Using golf’s only ground-corrected precision course maps, Surman said the SkyCaddie SW2 provides distances to the front, center and back of the green. It will automatically advance around the course as you do with Intelligent Automation.
Surman said Bluetooth Smart technology is built into the watch and when paired with the optional SkyGolf 360Mobile App, golfers can upload scores and stats to SkyGolf’s online community for fast and easy review of their rounds without a cable. The Bluetooth connectivity also makes it easy to keep the SW2 Watch up-to-date with the latest error-corrected course updates to avoid the obsolescence of preloads.
Designed to be fun and flexible, Surman said SkyGolf 360 lets players track as many or as few stats as they want. All scorecard data on SW2 is wirelessly uploaded to your My 360 personal performance locker within the SkyGolf 360 Cloud. Once uploaded, a player can can review performance from any mobile or desktop device without the need for a cable. Share scores, stats and chat with friends on the news feed.
In addition to time and golf, fitness features included in the SkyCaddie SW2 Watch include a built-in odometer tracks location, distance, time, laps, speed, pace and calories burned during walks, runs or bike rides. Players also can time rounds with a pace-of-play timer to keep track of how long it takes to play 18 holes.
