Cobra’s Baffler Hybrid irons available in October

Cobra Golf basically founded the hybrid iron market with its Baffler iron in 1975. The company is continuing its Baffler heritage with the  new Baffler Hybrid Irons and Baffler Hybrid Iron Combo sets. Cobra says the Baffler Hybrid Irons take key technology from its Baffler Hybrids to create an easy to hit iron “that delivers maximum forgiveness, higher launch and improved distance.”

Cobra's new Baffler Hybrid iron

The Baffler Hybrid Irons use a railed sole, influenced by the original Baffler but designed specifically for irons, to reduce turf drag.

Cobra says the progressive, oversized face profile provides high MOI for forgiveness as well as a low center of gravity for easy up. The company’s familiar E9 Face Technology brings a variable thickness face that progress from short to long irons that Cobra says provides faster ball speeds and greater distance on off center hits.

The Baffler Hybrid Irons are also available in a Baffler Hybrid Iron Combo set (men’s and women’s), where the long irons are replaced with Baffler Hybrids. The Baffler Hybrids have a wide, railed sole and shallow that helps get the ball airborne, as well as a top-line alignment system.

The Cobra Baffler Hybrid Irons will be available Oct. 19 in right and left handed models in steel (4-PW, GW), graphite (4-PW, GW) and graphite lite (5-PW, GW, SW) sets at a shelf price of $499 for steel sets and $599 for graphite (stiff, regular or lite) sets.

The Cobra Baffler Hybrid Iron Combo Sets will be available at the same time in right and left handed models in steel irons and graphite hybrids (4-6h, 7-PW, GW) and graphite hybrids and irons (4-6h, 7-PW, GW). Shelf price will be $599 for steel combo sets and $699 (stiff, regular, lite) for graphite combo sets.

In the women’s line, the Baffler Hybrid Iron Combo will be available in right and left handed graphite models (4-6h, 7-PW, SW) for $699.
