Callaway Golf is introducing what it calls an “improved version” of the White Hot insert in its new Odyssey White Hot Pro line of putters that will launch March 1. The new insert, Callaway says, brings more consistent sound, feel and performance across the putter face.
In addition, the company says a new laser milling cutting process allows Odyssey to achieve tight tolerances and to better match insert shapes to the various White Hot Pro head shapes, resulting better performing products.
A full line of White Hot Pro putter styles ($129.99) will be available, including the #1, #7, #5, #2 Center Shaft, #9, 2-Ball, D.A.R.T. and the Rossie. The Odyssey design team also developed new head shapes for 2013, including a high MOI mallet with a modified High Definition alignment system – called V-Line — and a smaller version of the popular D.A.R.T. Putter, called D.A.R.T. Mini.
The White Hot Pro D.A.R.T. and D.A.R.T Mini models, along with Odyssey 2-Ball, feature an adjustable weighting system that allows golfers to change the head weight of the standard-length putter from 350 grams to 360 or 370 grams.
