Cobra Golf’s Big Trusty Rusty puts a new spin on wedges (VIDEO)

Cobra's Big Trusty Rusty wedge

To quote Neil Young, “Rust Never Sleeps.” When it comes to Cobra Golf’s Trusty Rusty wedges, rust never felt so good. The company has brought back it fabled Trusty Rusty wedge in the Big Trusty Rusty line. Each wedge is made from low density, light weight steel and larger profile Cobra says enhances forgiveness.

Cobra Golf once again teamed with Phil Rodgers to design the wedges. Rodgers, best known as Jack Nicklaus’ short-game coach, helped design the original Trusty Rusty wedges.

Watch Tom Preece, vice president of research and development at Cobra Golf, explains the Big Trusty Rusty’s wide, tri bounce rounded sole that combines versatility with  forgiveness. Preece also describes the Big Trusty Rusty’s non-plated finish that allows each wedge to rust over time for enhanced feel and maximum allowable spin.

In addition, each Big Trusty Rusty wedge features a Cobra Steel shaft painted black with non-glare coating. It also features precision laser engraving that showcases the steel beneath the black. The Lamkin 3GEN grip has a longer length with less taper for consistent feel on choke down shots. The women’s grip is a Winn Wrap.
