Curtis gains first PGA Tour victory for Titleist AP1 irons

Ben Curtis became the first player to win a PGA Tour event with Titleist AP1 irons with his victory at this past weekend’s Valero Texas Open.  The AP1 is a complement to Titleist’s popular AP2 irons, which is played by most Titleist staff players on the Tour. The AP1 iron is preferred by many mid-handicap players because of its multi-material construction, tungsten sole weight and dual cavity elastomer/aluminum co-molded insert that provide better feel and sound.
