Titleist dominates golf ball, iron, putter and wedge counts at The Players Championship

Bridgestone captured the top spot at The Players Championship with Matt Kuchar’s victory playing a Tour B330-S golf ball, but Titleist once again was the dominant ball (and club) name in the field.

Johnson led Titleist charge at The Players Championship

Eight of the 11 players who finished among the top 10 and tied, including Zach Johnson (Pro V1x), Ben Curtis (Pro V1x), Rickie Fowler (Pro V1x), Martin Laird (Pro V1x), Kevin Na (Pro V1x) and Luke Donald (Pro V1x) played Titleist golf balls.  In total, 93 players used Titleist balls at the Players – more than five times the nearest competitor with 17.

Johnson, Laird, Fowler and Curtis each finished tied for second at The Players. Donald placed sixth and Na tied for seventh.

Titleist was also first in iron sets (38); sand, lob and approach wedges (140); and putters (56).
