Flawless Golf: Conceptualizing or Experiencing. . .

. . .And other loaded questions.  (Part 1)

It is said that we have 60,000-70,000 thoughts a day and 85-95% are the same thoughts we had the day before.   Insanity! (And bondage.)  So how can we break free from this attachment to concepts and create a golf experience?   First we must discover where they originate.

-Where do the thoughts come from?    ( If you know, please do share. . . we could go into business together. . .make millions…I could retire, and maybe even have time to play a little golf. . .where did that thought come from?)  More importantly . . .

-What is there when there are no thoughts?  My guess, applied to golf, is the perfect golf shot.  We all have unlimited potential to create the perfect golf shot for ourselves every time.  (I call it “Individualized Pure Potential”, more details to follow in the next post).  Then the human condition kicks in. We are infinitely better at self-sabotaging a shot with our thoughts than crafting the flawless golf shot experience. For example, your pre-shot routine. The unnecessary checklist of concepts (i.e. head down, left arm straight) that we sort through before our 1.7 second golf swing.  Do we ever get into the space where there are no thoughts, no concepts, and just pure experiential awareness: The golf shot you are about to hit and the target you are sending it to? More to come in the next post. . .
