I have played The Centurion Club several times now and it has always been an enjoyable experience. The opening hole is a dogleg left where you have to land your ball between two avenues of pine trees with bunkers protecting the right hand side and a fairway that slopes left to right.

After the first few holes the Simon Gidman designed course opens out with indigenous fescue grasses being a feature and the rolling typography giving some stunning views across the Hertfordshire countryside. The greens are large and have many complexes to them so being in the right areas is extremely important.
