The European Tour stays in Europe this week and heads to Holland for the KLM Open, which this year will be played over the Colin Montgomerie and European Golf Design “The Dutch”.

The course is an outstanding test of golf, with undulating landscape, rolling fairways framed by gorse-clad mounds, topped off with smooth, lightning-quick greens and has that inland links feel to it.

The construction team used round-breaking construction techniques to create a dramatic and undulating landscape, but I will leave you with the words of Ross McMurray of European Golf Design to describe the course, which he stated was “My pride at creating The Dutch”
