This week sees the start of the European Tours Final Series events, which again kicks off in the Turkish golf region of Belek this year at the Carya Belek course designed by Peter Thomson – five times Open Champion – Perrett and Lobb.

The course has only recently come online in the last couple of years but has already hosted several international tournaments. Weighing in at 7,000 metres – 7,655-yards – this classic heathland design offers naturally cultivated heather – courtesy of the nursery where nearly a million heather plants were grown – and rolling fairways that wind through natural pine, eucalyptus trees, and across undulating sand ridges.
