The European Tour now heads to Paris for the FedEx Open de France which this year will be held at Golf de Saint-Nom-La-Bretèche due to ongoing work at the traditional venue, Le Golf National.
There are two courses at Golf de Saint-Nom-La-Bretèche the Rouge and Bleu both designed by British architect Fred W. Hawtree who was commissioned by Daniel Féau, in 1959, Fred transformed the rolling, undulating farmland, lightly wooded countryside near Paris into one of France’s most celebrated courses. Four years after the course opened for play, it burst onto the world stage hosting the 1963 Canada Cup, which was won by the formidable team of Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus.
