The PGA Tour now moves back to Texas but this time heading for Dallas and the AT&T Byron Nelson which will be played for the second year at TPC Craig Ranch. Designed by 1973 Open Champion Tom Weiskopf and to be honest he probably wouldn’t put it among his best designs and that is more down to the topography and the remit he was probably given.

The course is relatively flat and is routed round Rowlett Creek, which meanders through this long, narrow plot of land. The course is all about distance with seven of the par fours weighing in at over 450 yards, with the toughest probably being the 493 yard, 12th. The bunkers don’t really come into play off the tee, but your approach shot needs to carry the river which protects the front of the green while also avoiding the bunker running the entire right side of the putting surface.
