Callaway Golf’s shoe line hasn’t received a lot of respect the past few years as the company, under former CEO George Fellows, attached the Callaway name seemingly almost anything from divot tools to sun glasses. But don’t let those mistakes fool you. Callaway’s golf shoes are as good as almost any on the market.
The company’s 2013 line is now available at retail, featuring high-performance temperature regulating system from Outlast Technology and foam insoles from OrthoLite, for moisture control and long-term cushioning. The 2013 line also features Callaway’s Comfort Tech Gel Tongue, which the company says uses injection molded gel tubes to disperse lace pressure more uniformly across tongue’s surface, and Comfort Tech Gel Pods, placed in the contoured footbed to relieve pressure and provide comfort where golfers need it most.
A few key models for 2013 include the spikeless Master Staff shoe; the Del Mar Tech that has a full-grain upper leather; and the ventilated C-Tech Summer shoe designed for breathability in dry, hot conditions.
